What is Hypnosis?

This is a perfectly natural state in which someone's conscious mind is relaxed and their subconscious mind is receptive to making the changes that are needed to be made to live a more fulfilling life.

How does it work?

The Hypnotherapist guides the person being hypnotised to a part of their subconscious mind. Both the therapist and the person being hypnotised interact with that part of the subconscious mind to make the changes that need to be made.

What is it like to be hypnotised?

A lot of people think that they won't remember anything that happens while hypnotised, or that they will be under the control of the hypnotherapist. None of this is true. Most people remember nearly everything that happens while in hypnosis, and the hypnotherapist cannot make you do something that conflicts with your values.

What you will feel is a different state of consciousness. Your body will be relaxed and your mind focused and receptive. You may feel like you are in a dreamy state. You will likely become more aware of how your subconscious is making you respond in powerful relaxing ways. . People generally find being hypnostised is a calming and relaxing experience that they are keen to repeat.

How effective is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective and works very quickly in comparison to other forms of therapy. The power of the subconscious mind should not be underestimated. Virtually all of our behaviour, thoughts and feelings are driven by this part of our mind. Hypnosis accesses this part of the mind, the very source of the issue, to make the changes that need to be made.
